Homosexuality refers to the romantic or sexual attraction, emotional connection, or behavior between members of the same sex. Homosexuality goes against the natural order of God's design for human creation. Genesis 1:27-28 states, "27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth." God ordained only the order of male and female to partake in sexual union since the beginning of time. This is the only way humankind can fulfill God's commission to keep the earth replenished. "Wo" in woman relates to the womb belonging to the female. Man can't be called a woman without being gifted a womb from God. The womb is used to receive seed from the man to trigger pregnancy. A woman can't be called a man without being gifted with a phallus which brings forth seed. The phallus is used by men to insert one's seed in the woman's womb. The phallus was also given to man directly from God. Scientifically, the male is the natural giver while the woman is the natural receiver. If two givers come together, how can the seed be received lawfully? Can a man get pregnant by another man's seed? If two receivers come together, how can they give each other seed? Can a woman get pregnant by another woman naturally? When members of the same sex come together in union, they go against God's natural order for human life. Such unnaturalness is considered unlawful by God. Leviticus 20:13 states, "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

This law was given to God's original chosen people of Israel. This law is a part of what most scholars believe to be the "code of holiness" The ancient Israelites were called to a higher standard of living. God chose them to be an example of how life should be lived according to God's word. God wanted the other surrounding nations all over the world to mimic the way of living these Jews have adopted. To do so would mean submitting themselves to God. Notice as well the scripture stating "put to death". In the Old Testament, obedience was very crucial because they were not under the dispensation of grace. This means if they entered the holy presence of God defiled by sin, the very holiness of God would destroy them. Without a proper propitiation for their sins in a set place, they had nothing protecting them from the holiness Of God. Sin cannot survive in the presence of holiness. This is why many Jews perished in the presence of God. 1 John 2:2 states, "1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." Jesus Christ is the reason why humanity is not immediately consumed by its sins. Jesus constantly serves as a mediator of protection from God's wrath. Due to the work Jesus did on the cross, God considers this a gift of perfect sacrifice. In return, God gives us grace, which means time to repent instead of facing immediate judgment. We're very fortunate to be living under grace, my friend. If one committed such immoral acts back in the Old Testament times, survival would not be guaranteed.

The death referred to in Leviticus 20:13 also refers to another type of death. This death is ultimately referred to as "spiritual death". Matthew 10:28 states, "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." When one chooses to forsake the holy law of order to partake in unnatural immorality, they choose to walk the path of death leading to Hell. Romans 6:23 states, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Those who choose to abide by the instruction of God walk the path of life leading to heaven. Death cannot be found in heaven, so the unrepentant is doomed to go to the dwelling place of death itself, hell. A lot of people practicing this sin will argue love is love right? why would a God of love be against homosexual love? The love you have for that same-sex partner may be legitimate, but it doesn't mean it's lawful to God. Proverbs 14:12 states, "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." God didn't call us to live by the way we feel is right but by the way that is actually right. To those of you who are caught up in a lifestyle of Homosexuality, I urge you to read this article from a place of understanding and not from a place of attack. This article is not intended to condemn you for your lifestyle choices, but to enable you to comprehend why homosexuality is wrong. In love, I urge you to reconsider your life choices, I don't want anyone of you to go to hell.
