Humanity needs to awaken to the reality that death must come to everyone. Hebrews 9:27 states, "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" The main purpose of our lives is to live according to God's word so that we can be prepared for God's judgment once our time is up on earth. The harsh reality is many people aren't aware of Godly judgment awaiting them. Many people don't believe in God or believe that he would allow someone to go to Hell. Psalms 14:1 states, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.” People don't believe there's a hell. If people were conscious of how great heaven is, they would do everything in their power to make it there. Considering all the violence and physical negligence going on in the world, people lack the fear necessary to remain conscious of where they could end up after their life is over. Matthew 10:28 states, " And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." If you knew you weren't right with God, wouldn't that make you fearful of dying before you could set things straight? The reason why most people don't fear dying in sin is because they don't fear the divine judge of the universe. The sad part is most people don't experience this needed fear until after their life is over. Having the true fear of God will keep you out of Hell and will serve as a strong reminder of why it's important to live right.

The average person takes 1 breath every 1.5 seconds and the body only has about 4 - 6 minutes to live after oxygen is cut off. Psalm 146:4 states, "His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish." What's going through a person's mind while they're fighting for breath? Are they thinking about how they neglected God? Are they thinking about decisions they should've or shouldn't have made? Are they thinking about family? What thoughts do you think would be going through the unrepentant Christian head? Here are some examples, "I can't believe my life is coming to an end", "I'm not ready to meet God", "I don't want to go to hell", "I had all this time to do God's will, but didn't", "God forgive me", "God please give me another chance, please give me more time". The reality is God has given us more than enough time to make wise decisions.

Genesis 2:7 states, "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." This scripture proves that God gave humanity life as a gift and one day he will require it back. Humanity must realize every breath is an opportunity given by God to come to true repentance. That's a lot of chances, will you take advantage of at least one of them? True repentance is understanding what the fear of God is. Proverbs 8:13, States, "The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate."

True repentance isn't just trembling at the thought of God's power, but having respect to abstain from what is offensive to his holy nature. It's your time, but remember what you choose to do with it will decide your eternal destination.
