You Will Not Get Into Heaven Without A Relationship With Jesus Christ

A lot of people believe you can just accept Jesus Christ's blood for salvation like it’s a one-and-done thing. No need to go to church, pray, or study the word of God. What many Christians don’t realize is salvation is a two-step process, you must get saved and stay saved. What do I mean by this? You must strive daily to please the heart of God for the rest of your life. Philippians 2:12 states, “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” You must continue to add things to your life that are holy and acceptable to Christ and remove things he hates. Philippians 3:14 states, "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." I haven’t met one person that was able to accomplish this in one day. No one I've ever met hit the mark the exact place God wants us to be in one day. You may get saved on a particular day, but that doesn’t mean your life is in order according to God's standards. Getting saved is the first part of the process, now God wants to teach you how to stay saved by removing sin from your life daily. Matthew 6:11 states, “Give us this day our daily bread.”

God wants to feed us daily with his holiness. This means that we ought to be seeking God daily on how to reprove our lives. John 14:6 states, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” You can’t have redemption without Jesus Christ, they’re a package deal. People think they can just exploit Jesus Christ's blood for salvation, then completely ignore him throughout their lives. You may say you don’t ignore him, but if you’ve done either of these things, then you have:

  • Didn’t pray all week (1 Thessalonians 5:17)

  • Didn’t read God's word all week (2 Timothy 2:15)

  • Didn’t worship him all week (John 4:24)

  • Didn’t praise him all week (Psalms 106:1)

God will not accept being tired, because people find energy to do what they want to do. If Jesus found the energy to complete his assignment on the cross, you can find the energy to pray. How much energy does it take to get on your knees and wait on the voice of the lord? God has a house, it’s called heaven. God won’t let anyone come live in his house he doesn’t know. Would you let some random stranger come live with you in whom you didn’t know? Matthew 7:23 states, “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” There are a lot of Christians who claim to know Jesus, but he doesn’t know them. It’s a dangerous thing to be living ignorant of your spiritual standing with Jesus Christ. Would you like to be one of the people with confusion on your face during God's judgment? It’s impossible to be caught off guard by these things if you maintain daily communication with God.

Revelation 3:20 states, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Jesus Christ desires a relationship with each of his people. If you would seek him wholeheartedly, you will find him. How long must Jesus knock on your door before you answer it? When will you let him in? Galatians 6:7 states, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” If you sow rejection towards God during your life, you will reap rejection from God at the end of your life.
